Several photos of dead LTTE leaders released

Since some of our readers were skeptical about the claims in previous article on senior LTTE leaders being annihilated by the army, here are some photographic proof to back up those claims. More pictures will be released to the media once preliminary investigations by a special MI team are over.

The following is quoted from posts from your own blog - part of a comment you posted:

"The LTTE has not spoken about this "battle" because it never happened. There is nothing to speak about. The LTTE was fighting as usual, gradually retreating into the no fire zone, "

Why would they retreat into the no fire zone declared by the GOSL if they are all high and mighty as you claim them to be?

Anyways you'd better go and cuddle the commentors on your own blog rather than posting BS here. Few of them are apparently unconvinced about the 'battle that never happened'.

P.S. - It's not a chemical attack that roasted your fighters. It's called the beatdown of the century.

"btw to the good for defencenet, yes you people killed many many tigers u could count, but do you know how many young soldiers you lost?

In that particular battle 21 KIA and around 90 WIA.

"at least we lost only old veterans with few numbers,"

That's harsh. They've only been dead for 1-2 days and suddenly they've become 'old veterans'? You lost some of your best commanders who probably cannot be replaced for another 30 years.

And if someone cleans a toilet, or sweeps a floor, he too should be ridiculed. As patriots we should speak out against poor people, toilet cleaners and house maids. I have never denied the LTTE uses the no fire zone, nor have I even claimed they are winning the war.

The problem is sinhala modayas (aka people like you) have a problem with comprehension and clarity of thought. They are unable to see what someone actually says, and instead they have a rubber stamp they use on anyone they assume disagrees with them.

Take for example what you wrote. You automatically assume I say the LTTE is winning the war, the LTTE is super strong, etc. All I have said is the defence department has a useless propaganda team that recycles old photographs, and stages stories in the stupidest possible way. But that is all they need, because Sinhalese have repeatedly shown they are willing to accept even the most ridiculous stories from the government.

Why should the government look for a body that actually looks like Vidusha, when millions of Sinhalese are willing to believe them if they simply show any female body and say it was her? You think that its patriotism to blindly believe what the government tells you, but factually it is just stupidity. Be "patriotic", but have a brain at the same time and use your common sense.

The majority of Tamils have a set of viewpoints, and the majority of Sinhalese have a set of viewpoints. There will always be minor differences, but there are certain things that will clearly show 80% to 90% acceptance amongst either Tamils or Sinhalese.

An example would be Sinhalese objection to Tamil's freedom of expression and belief, as shown recently in Australia. Sinhalese, as a whole, cannot tolerate dissenting views, even if those views are carried out peacefully. They immediately want to resort to violence to silence the dissension. But in civilized democratic countries (not Sri Lanka or even Tamil Eelam), people are allowed to disagree peacefully.

If the purpose of the men/women who join the army was to buy food, LTTE would not have been forced to be cornered into a small NFZ and counting the days till Indian election is over.

On the other hand the most of the citizens of former tamil eelam were forced to fight against their own will. Results are out there to be seen.

  45. Dear Defencenet:

May be my interpretation is wrong, but I feel Badrinath is trying to dishearten Diaspora.

I acknowledge that some of his posts look like anti Sri Lankan; even in spirit not just in appearance. Now again his posts appear to be subliminally ridiculing LTTE.

    For instance see here:

    From Badrinath:

"The LTTE has not spoken about this "battle" because it never happened. There is nothing to speak about. The LTTE was fighting as usual, gradually retreating into the no fire zone”

This is saying that LTTE is running away.

About the pictures he has published: It really would leave a devastating effect in the diaspora.

    Again from Badrinath:

“The LTTE has not spoken about this "battle" because it never happened. There is nothing to speak about. The LTTE was fighting as usual, gradually retreating into the no fire zone, losing on average 15 fighters a day - as they have been doing for nearly a year. There was nothing to announce as there was nothing that happened.”

The real message is LTTE is loosing 15 fighters on average everyday. This will sink into their minds since it is coming from seemingly one who is fiercely an Elam supporter.

Maybe I am wrong. I feel another Mahen is here. It could be the same Mahen.

  46. Final Act of Stupidiy

I see on TV screen how a bunch of stupid idiots occupied the road over Westminster Bridge in London, only to be dragged out by Scotland Yard - quite unceremoniously thought.

It is about a familiar theme - genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

Why now? The multi-million dollar question.

The word was spread that there would be over 3000 Tamils participating in the event ultimately to commit suicide by jumping down to River Thames that runs under this majestic brige.

The decorum turned out to be much smaller than that - just about 300.

These are the relatives of hard-core beasts who ended up in this part of Europe at the back of lorries and container trucks playing every trick under the sun for deceit.

Now they turn on the British Police: slogans were heard, "Shame on you British police."

If these bastard are not cut down to size, in our life time, they will ask for a separate state in Britain too, focussing on an area where a lot of Tamils are concentrated.

These stupid idiots don't understand the damage they are doing to the brand "Tamil" by constantly reciting this term - day in day out.

Sensible Europeans may think they are as racist as the communities they blame on for committing the same offence.

I have a lot of Tamil friends in Europe and the distinction I make between those rioters and those who are civilized is their up-bringing.

The semi-literate rural folks are the dangerous lot - viciously prejudiced and carrying an arrogance of non-existent superiority. Those who hail from urban stock are easy to get on with.

I respect and love our peasants regardless of their ethnicity. But I can't stand the idiots who make a mountain out of molehill.

So, that protest ended up on a sour note too.

Every hurdle is clear for the final assault. Good luck to Gen Fonseka & his amazing team!

As a patriot I agree that those who don't know how to read well need to be dealt with. Last time we had a large number of illiterate people we took care of them with the JVP uprising. After that we made sure everyone learned to read so there wouldn't be any more problems. But as you pointed out, it looks like large numbers of illiterate people are again present in Sri Lanka, so as patriots we all have to do our part to deal with them. Either you are literate or you are a terrorist, so test your neighbors and see if they really can read and write.

    1. why tamilnet didn't say a word? how reliable toiletnet is! wow!

    2. how come killing LTTE cadres means open genocide of PEOPLE???

    3. so the protests are about the RAPE of the LTTE on sunday!! that explains why those rallies were arranged with SHORT NOTICE.

    4. then how about the civilians??? tamil diaspora doesn't give a rat's arse about them.

if killing LTTE cadres is open genocide of the people, killing people (of course by the LTTE) is LIBERATION!!!

LTTE supporters are SOOO DUMB that they don't deserve a nation.

    ReplyDelete
  50. ["The real message is LTTE is loosing 15 fighters on average everyday."]

That is announced on Voice of Tigers every day. The LTTE doesn't hide their deaths like the Sri Lankan government. For nearly a year now there have been on average 10 to 15 fighters killed per day. In the same period there have been around 20,000 Sri Lankan soldiers killed.

    ReplyDelete

days since black july = 9,388
total harvest of LTTE cadres = 15*9388

    wow!

either toiletnet is lying or LTTE is taking a SEVERE beating OR both!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Moshe, I'll explain it to you since you don't understand english too well:

"Colombo claimed that nearly 500 LTTE cadres were killed this weekend. Therefore any further war only means open genocide of people," he said."

This means there are no LTTE fighters left, since the government said only 500 LTTE fighters existed. If there are no LTTE fighters left, then only civilians are left to be killed. Any further war will be killing civilians.

You are welcome. If you need further english lessons please feel free to ask. I don't discriminate against people for being modaya.

    ReplyDelete
  53. ["if daily AVERAGE harvest of LTTE cadres = 15
days since black july = 9,388
total harvest of LTTE cadres = 15*9388
    = 140,820"]

It's embarrassing seeing you proudly point out other's foolishness. Unfortunately I said "over the last year". That means not from 1983. Now why would a modaya like you choose 1983 to count from? Why not just start from the 1500's or maybe from prehistoric times.

Again it comes back to english comprehension. Please study better in school, and once you are properly educated maybe you can come to the west and wash toilets like I do. Till then don't try to point out flaws in your intellectual superiors.

For the other intelligent people here, the LTTE has lost 23,000 fighters since 1983. You need to take into consideration multiple ceasefires, and lower confrontations in early years.

  74. The politicians in the opposition issue statements on government which have a very high damaging national implications. This is a huge issue.

I can draw many examples from the past. The issue is, LTTE bootlickers i.e. BBC Sandeshaya etc pick them up and paste them all over the walls, which gives legitimacy to the statement.

The eyes of the world think that what has been published in the BBC is the truth, but in fact it has come from a third-grade mouth of someone in the opposition or Wickramabahu Karunarathna who is his own party.

Irresponsible political statements are a huge issue in Sri Lanka. They are most often than not damage the national interests.

This scumbag of Sri Lanka has done his utmost to destabilize the country including forming the Top Scum Alliance with Ranil, Hakeem, and Mangala to unduly criticize the heroic efforts of our forces. Currently, he is threatening us with Eelam War V. For obvious reasons, he has not uttered a single word against acts of terror by LTTE against the people of Sri Lanka. He conveniently looks over how the innocent Sri Lankans getting killed by LTTE. Currently he is relying on Tamil Sri Lankans living in Colombo as a springboard of his pro LTTE terrorist activities. This man has harbored LTTE suicide terrorists and operatives in his political office at the expense of Sri Lankan tax payer’s money. It is imperative that we investigate this man and put behind bars for his crimes against the people of Sri Lanka.

  133. Civilian has said "Tamil's strength is Tamils". This is where you got it wrong.

In any country, minority's strength is majority. Specifically speaking, minority's positive relationship with the majority is the minority's strength. Your positive relationship with the majority would always protect you and provide you with a conductive environment to nourish and thrive.

In Sri Lanka, many of the elite Colombo Tamils, and almost all the Muslims have identified this universal truth. They maintain excellent relationships with the Sinhalese, and therefore command higher social, political, and economic status in the society.

You can not live in any country, anywhere in the world, if you are not in good terms with the majority. If it is the case, it is better to leave.

Even if you take businesses, if Sinhalese decided not to purchase any goods from any of the Tamil or Muslim shops, they would be history in a week or two. They survive because of their good terms with the majority.

So learn this universal fact - "Minority's strength is their positive relationship with the majority!"

On the other hand, always, a majority's strength is the majority itself .

  139. VP death story is hogwash, another premature ejaculation.

Its not all good news boys, our casualties in PTK battle is close to LTTE's, but not so many KIAs, some casualties due to blue on blue (friendly fire) bcoz of close proximity fighting. We captured a large haul of weapons, many are past use by date which means LTTE stocks are dwindling, this could be one of the reasons their firepower was not effective. Some of the weapons captured were those that LTTE captured from us in earlier battles (remember the days when we marched up the A9 leaving both flanks exposed?)

We did not use gas attacks againts LTTE! They are idiots to think we would use gas in close proximity fighting, those injuries to cadres are due to thermobaric weapons.

PTK extreme edge entirely not cleared, some pockets of resistance are there. I don't know of any SF missions inside NFZ, they are operating on the boundaries though.

  146. How about this senario as pointed by NOLTTE=peace,

The LTTE may launch a offensive with very large number of boats with full force, then SLN can not obstruct it completely. They will break the sea barrier and will move to thick jungles in the cleared areas.

So they will continue the war from jungles in the cleared areas. This may be a huge problem. They may have some plan (not foolish enough to not-undestand that they can't face the army at NFZ)

    Compare

    Monkeynath's Theorem

    to

    Monkey Net's bankruptcy!

But MonkeyPora, read in between the lines and understand how LTTE admitted their biggest ever loss of Monkeys in the body of the article,
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan Defence Ministry has claimed that it has killed hundreds of Tiger combatants including senior commanders in PTK last weekend.. See, eat it Monkeys, your MonkeyNet is also admitting the loss in a very indirect way.

In addition, the Monkeys are threatening the other governments. Read the following "....Any government that is abetting or justifying Colombo's illegal war, may have to bear the responsibility for the war crimes, the diaspora protesters said.

Yes, the Monkeys killed Rajiv, and it may be possibility that they are eying for another.

  148. Sanduni,

You most certainly bring a valid point. I believe that there are 40,000 CDF and STF behind 59 and we can immediately deploy TF 2,3, and 4 if needed in that area. Yet, we should be cognisent to this possibility.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Hi Sam,

Yes. That is true. Army will somehow able to crush the sea offensive. But it will take so long(several more months) . It may be difficalt, since the area is very large (100's of square kms)
Probably DW will give some info. Another point is that it took sometime to eliminate the LTTE fighters remaining in the cleared areas (after recent penitration few weeks ago). Still some may operate outside the army forward boundry aimed to attcak from rear end.

    ReplyDelete
  150. sanduni,

it works a bit differently. tigers would take to the seas for,

    1. escape from SL
    2. attack ships plying men and material from trinco to jaffna
    3. escape into other areas (and fight)

NONE of these would work if a VERY large number of boats were to be used. it is easily detectable; SLAF may be called in.

also tigers cannot land in the stretch from NFZ-jaffna AND NFZ-trinco as SLDFs are deployed. this forces them to go beyond trinco which is also heavily guarded.

they will try to do these by stealth and using a few number of boats at a time.

STILL a boat or two can easily escape the SLN patrol. the SLN patrol is not static. RABS, SBS boats have either no or little detection capabilities.

but you never know. desperate times call for "desperate" action and tigers are taking desperate action.

LTTE's plan A is to try and stop the war OR hide with civilians as long as possible.

plan B must be an intersting one.

  152. Moshe Dyan,
    I agree too. However,you said
"it is easily detectable; SLAF may be called in."

well, as I can see from many sea battles, where there are 20-30 LTTE boats are engaging, SLN/SLAF usually destroys only few boats(probably 5-6 or 10). Others go back to where they came. It is difficult attack from air ( moving targets).
However, If there is a large scale LTTE boat attack, probably (30%-50%) will be destroyed. Others will penitrate and will land to some other place. ( It is unbeleavable that SLN can not 100% gurantte to protect less than 20km costline with full force )

"also tigers cannot land in the stretch from NFZ-jaffna AND NFZ-trinco as SLDFs are deployed. this forces them to go beyond trinco which is also heavily guarded"

Wow!. True.. but it is not possible to guard every inch. it is a very long costline. They can easily penitrate and move to the thick jungles.

I am taking very negatively. Our forces will do someting under these senarios (they have done excellent job so far). But have to ready for every possibility.

You should ask LTTE to immediately release the photos, videos of the Net-Killed leaders with Pulligal photos in their hand. It will solve the issue.

mmm....now i'm convinced it is a viable tactic for desperate LTTE.

  169. Col Theepan - the Dam(n) Builder

The man who had been digging up the entire Vanni landscape at will to keep the marauding army at bay, has finally bit the very dust he unearthed so abundantly.

It was an unceremonious end to a ruthlessly uncivilized maniac. It cannot be a heroic end as he desperately tried to get help and failed; the final scenario borders on betrayal by Pottu Amman.

So, he died while hating both the rival commiunity and his own people to some extent.

The thoughts he harboured in the last moment would have propelled his soul to be borne as a primate in Borneo, a few steps down in the evolutionary chain, for the barbaric acts he commited while in human form.

Those who love to glorify this moron as a military genious must add his monumental failure of bund-building to his CV to spice it up with a bit of fairness.

Yes, there posed an obstacle when moving into Vanni: it is more to do with flooding due to rains that prevailed in December than the structural significance of this eye-sore.

Col Theepan became a genious this way: shouting abuse at under-performing conscripts or threaten them with death or putting in prison; holding parents or sibblings as hostages in the event of conscripts leaving the outfit; sending teenagers to their death over mine fields to attack army camps in the henious hope of statistical survival of some in the end.

The last act of desperation of this 'genious' was taking steps to fire the artillery in direct mode at the troops - reaching the pinaacle of his so-called artillery expertise. He made a mockery of what was left of his skills.

It has been reported that even his family members, some of whom, have managed to go to no-fire zone, did not come forward to claim the mortal remains of the war-hero. It is also reported that some of his siblings in Canada have been informed.

Vanni civilians who are in government camps may see the earth-destroying skills of this man.

No Tamil civilian in these camps will shed a tear for him as long as they see these monuments to stupidity.

People like me who believe in superstition see the trenches as a sign given by ghosts to imply what is lying ahead for him and his henchmen.

And events turned out exactly like that way.

Maxim: Never dig up mother earth if the purpose is not crystal clear; this is a warning!

    ReplyDelete
  170. What's the meaning of all these shouting here people? Think about it.. Your bullshit 'blogging' is just empty load of crap.. You guys are just arguing over and over again about the same shit like dogs fighting over a dry chicken bone.. C'mon guys stop this bullshit and talk about something productive.. If you are so patriotic, stop bullshitting about crap and do something about things happening in Lanka.. The funniest thing is, there are hundreds of people in these so called "blogs" to give commentaries about war, although most of them are either overseas or hiding somewhere in south.. When we need soldiers to fight the war, there's no one to join the army.. If you are so patriotic just go join the army (or ltte) and fight without bullshitting sitting on your ass in front of a computer..

I never mock human beings. That would be uncivilized.

This is from PTI, but the same thing was on Tamil Net in a longer form:

"Conceding that the rebels have lost 4,000 of their cadres in the last two years of fighting, Nadesan also claimed that the rebels have killed over 20,000 Sri Lankan soldiers over the period."

So, websites, blogs, demostrations, articles etc all are warfare,

if not for blogs, websites & protests how can we counter LTTE propoganda

So, Keep blogging & show even you are working in office or sitting on bed, we are concern about our military & their victories, that refelects public opinion

  175. Modern wars are not fight only in battle grounds. Especially anti terrorism wars. It has different faces and fight on different theaters like politic, economic, propaganda, media etc. Net is one of it. No pint of winning in battle field if you lose the war in other theaters.
In this war not only SF, Shavendra Silva, Bhanu, Theepan are solders, but Viko, Nadesan, Wimal, Champika, Wikarambahu, even Mervin Silva.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Wow, 'Peace' that's brilliant! What a perceptive piece of analysis. Really superb hard-hitting piece of writing that really made me think. I'm sure the SLA would love to have a battalion of unfit armchair warriors.

You'll find that the SLA has enough recruits for the current battles and the forthcoming mop-up operations. The same, fortunately, cannot be said the LTTE. Their Eelamtard supporters overseas don't have the balls to get to Sri Lanka fight for their 'freedom'. The best they can do is to disrupt traffic in London and generally make a nuisance of themselves.

I have to ask the obvious question. Aren't you also bullshitting and sitting in front of a computer or are you in that wonderfully oxymoronic phrase, 'fighting for peace'?

  178. "Conceding that the rebels have lost 4,000 of their cadres in the last two years of fighting, Nadesan also claimed that the rebels have killed over 20,000 Sri Lankan soldiers over the period."

    Mr. Badrinath,
How can you be sure that Mr. Nadesan et al is not dishing out punnakku to you?

    How is this possible?

The last two years probably mean 2007 and 2008.

The figures are 5:1 in the terrorists favour.

Considering the Steady increase in divisions of the SLA a massive recruiment would have had to take place to replenish lost troops and and then to keep it increasing.

Considering the training facilities and past recruitment drives of SLA how is this possible?

In the early phases of the renewed war from Mavil Aru some operations were concluded without a single injury to soldiers according to soldiers comments themselves. Also the initial vanni operations saw very small casualties to SLA while they kept picking up bunker after bunker of the terrorists. In these stages I think the ratio was something like 1:5 in SLA favour.

Where did the balance casualties take place to the equal the ratio and overtake it in favour of the terrorists?

  182. We should be grateful to the overseas Eelamtards for starting their demos. It gives the 'normal' citizens of those countries an insight into their attitudes and likely future behaviour. Reading the comments from the London papers (e.g Evening Standard), the majority are sick of their whining and want them to jump into the Thames :)

But, the wishes of the majority will not affect UK govt policy of sucking up to the Eelamists, due to their sizeable voting bloc.

The only benefit to Sri Lanka is that, for most Brits who are vaguely aware of what's happening in Sri Lanka, the mere word 'Tamil' has now become indelibly associated 'terrorists', 'credit card fraudsters', 'petty criminals', 'welfare scroungers', 'illegal immigrants', 'suicide bombers' and thus generally undesirable.

Notch up another great achievement to the Eelam struggle.

Several loud explosions have been heard in the NFZ soon after army made the final announcement for the LTTE terrorists to release the civilians held hostage by them this afternoon (Apr 8). The army has mad announcement using loudspeakers positioned few hundred meters short of the western border of the NFZ.

Army suspects that the terrorists have launched some sort of an attack at the civilians who tried to escape their rule.

  197. British System is very advanced and they have a very advanced method to identify and classify terrorists. For example, their system identifies Muslims in general as terrorists with very harsh punishments if they have anything to do with Al-Qaeda. By using numerous cognitive algorithms they have assigned LTTE to something called "Most Favored Terrorists." Unless otherwise noted, anybody in Most Favored Terrorists group is free to violate laws in Britain as well as any other jurisdiction.
