The Sri Lanka Army has deployed three additional Task Forces to the Wanni theater of battle. Newly raised TF 5, 6 and 7 are currently placed in defensive mode in areas recently captured from the LTTE. TF5 is deployed in Tunukkai/Mallavi, TF6 in Pooneryn and TF7 in strategic Elephant Pass – the doorway to Jaffna peninsula. The army has four more task forces deployed in the Mullaithivu region; TF2, TF3, TF4 and TF8. These are placed in offensive/semi-offensive mode and are actively used in the battle to free remaining area and civilians held by the LTTE. In addition to the deployment of Task Forces, two new brigades were added to the army’s 59 division (59-4 and 59-5).
With the recent changes, the army now has 8 task forces and 7 divisions (61 and 56 divisions based in Mannar and Vavuniya) leading the war against LTTE. Task Forces have lesser number of troops than a full division and are formed with a particular goal (task) in mind. These are later converted to divisions as more brigades/troops are added. For example the Task Force 1 which was raised back in 2007 is now known as the 58 division. In addition to task forces and divisions, decimating LTTE’s frontlines are troops from 1,2,3,4 Special Forces regiments who have done an invaluable service throughout the 4th Eelam War.

Biggest mistake done by Vezapille was Not allowing Ponna RW to become the president. (C'mon guy's..Give him a BIG thank you)...
ReplyDeleteNext comes Closing the Mavil Aru...(He will not close even a water tap after wards)
Karunanidhi is a fake. He is a tiger at heart. When Tamil Chelvam died he composed a poem glorifying him. The Tiger threat is probably a gimmick to win sympathy.
ReplyDeleteThis is Vaiko's official website. Another LTTE terrorist. Please feel free to sign his "gust book"
http://www.vaiko-mdmk.com/
Traitor Karunanidhi must be shown justice.... for being directly responsible for double-crossing Sri Lankans Tamil youth, who were deceived and encouraged to kill over 70,000 fellow Sri Lankans.
ReplyDeleteThere's no one more qualified than a brave Sri Lankan from the LTTE itself to get the hounour to balance the books.
...in all Sri Lankan style.
Jay,
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your comments, always I get this strange vibe that you are,
1. 56 years old
2. Tamil
3. Catholic
4. Professional, perhaps a Doctor or an Enginer
5. Grown-up daughters (2 between 18 and 24), and one son
6. Lives in UK
This whole thing is naive - but I just let it out.
Tell me how close or how far I am.
:-)
Moshe,
ReplyDeleteUAVs are a great investment. No dispute about it.
In the past, we were like blind... now were are much more informed.
UAVs saved thousands of civilians too.
In the recent past, when UAVs saw civilians escaping LTTE, they were duly informed to Army and they were aware of the movements in advance (so no rockets or fire directed on those directions).
Also, Units were deployed to rescue the civilians.
Patriots,
ReplyDeleteHave we sent all the trapped tigers to Eelam? Anybody knows what exactly is going on in the encircled zone?
Were are the Eelamturds today? Didn't the Editor: Monkeynath kill 1412 soldiers a few days ago and sent all the SLA divisions out of action? Monkeynath, are you around?
With all respect I can show to wives who lost their husbands in our war against LTTE Eelam terrorists,
ReplyDeleteIt is through the death of real warriors like Lt. Colonel Lalith Jayasinghe and Colonel Fazly Lafir, that the mark of freedom will be seared into the soul of Sri Lanka, certainly not by the death of tabloid editors cum garbage diggers in Sonali Samarasinghe's alternative anti Sri Lankan universe.
I am Sorry about her husband's death. However I can't stand silent when somebody tries to insult the countless sacrifices of great Sri Lankan warriors and their loved ones.
May blessings of Triple Gems be with our fallen heroes, the true heroes!
Gods bless our fallen heroes, the true heroes!
CASC..
ReplyDeleteThink you only scratced the surface.
I can mention Dudley S, DRW, Lalith A, Ronnie D, Tryronne F, Ranil W to name a few.
Sri Lankans have very short memories. Ones the Powers at be are gone you will soon find out the games they have played.
Let's wait for the Rajapakse clan to move on.. You will then find out.
btw apart from MR the other three are foreign nationals!!
Sam P..
remarks..I don't mind even if there were/are corruptions done by them as long as LTTE is wiped out.
I'm sorry that is a naive/misguided sentiment.
slpower.
Yes i agree MR is doing a good job wiping out the terrorist. Lets have closure on it asap lets move forwards before it pops up again. ie a political solution. (thats not even on the radar at the moment)
Sam P ...
You keep blaming the British and living in the past. Oh its all so easy to blame the history, British Colony blah blah blah. Don't you think we had enough of the past should we not look to the future?
No- LTTE asked the Q
1. Late Forties
2. Half Sri Lankan Tamil
3. Anglican
4. Professional. Semi retired
5. Son and Daughter
6. British and Sri Lankan Citizen lives in UK, France(resident) and Sri Lanka.
ps- Just to get the record straight i have no respect for the LTTE nor GOSL (of any colour).
ps-
I hope that the government is going to settle all the innocent civilians without any delay in their homes after fishing the LTTE members out.
ReplyDeleteSam P..
ReplyDeletePermit me to copy and paste an editorial from the Island a few weeks ago..
(It is with shock and dismay that we note a minister’s wife serving a prison term for double murder and two foreigners jailed for heroin smuggling have walked to freedom on the International Women’s Day (March 08) thanks to a presidential pardon. Ironically, Mary Juliet Monica Fernando, (wife of Public Estate Management and Development Minister Milroy Fernando), was sentenced to death in 2005 for abducting and murdering two women and her death penalty was later commuted to life imprisonment! That was how Sri Lanka celebrated a day sacred to the womenfolk!
The Head of State may be constitutionally empowered to pardon prisoners but using those unshackled powers to throw prison gates open so that murderers, rapists and drug smugglers could walk out is a great disservice to a country. President Mahinda Rajapaksa can never justify his action, which is atrocious, reprehensible and deplorable, to say the least.
This brings us to the question of monstrous powers concentrated in a single institution blessed with legal immunity. The late President J. R. Jayewardene created a dangerous precedent by releasing a convicted rapist and underworld figure Gonawala Sunil. The late President Ranasinghe Premadasa pardoned Manohari Daniels jailed for killing dozens of civilians by exploding a car bomb in Maradana in 1987. Now, President Rajapaksa, who opposed the Jayewardene and Premadasa regimes tooth and nail, has sullied his presidential hands with a pardon for a murderess and drug smugglers.
This country has earned notoriety the world over for its woefully low conviction rate which stands at a meagre four per cent. Atop that we have presidents releasing convicts serving sentences for grievous crimes! Lawmakers are collaborating with lawbreakers! Do we need any other enemies?)
Is this all for the sake of War on Terror?
Jay,
ReplyDeleteWe have moved on from British colonial time a long time ago. At the same time I am not ready accept any meddling by British in Sri Lanka. If the British want to talk a single thing about Sri Lanka, they need to undo all the atrocities and robberies they did for 150 years. That is the only way they can stand on high grounds. Otherwise, they are just a bunch of crooks trying to preach us what they don't practice.
You may worship Brits, but I don't give a JS for Brits. Also, I don't have many kind words for British meddlers.
On your note about corruption, you need a bite of present realities. Corruption is a fact of living even in western nations. At the same time, I don't buy the story of MR bribing Velu. In retrospect, it is truly laughable allegation and I want to laugh more about it.
Jay,
ReplyDeleteGrow up, the world is not an ideal place. Our walk to corruption free utopia is a long long walk. I would like to solve problems starting from the most severe LTTE problem and then to others. However, it is naivety at best to expect quick changes in Sri Lanka. Even the LTTE problem will take a few decades to vanish altogether with political solutions etc etc.
Sam P..
ReplyDeleteApart from the fact that you contradicted yourself in the first paragraph.. I too dont care about meddlers be they it be Brits, Americans, Chinese, Indians or Pakis.
However, SL needs help without a hidden agenda.
Pray tell me which country is helping without an agenda?
(Corruption is a fact of living even in western nations)
ReplyDeleteNot sure which western nation you are living in.
There is always you scratch my back i will scratch yours etc.
I have yet to see blatant back handers (as seen in SL and now to a lesser extent in India)in western nations.
Jay,
ReplyDeleteI am talking about recent attempts by British meddlers lead by Milband. We all have our agendas. The worst agenda's I see right now is the interference with our war against LTTE terrorists and other separatists, mainly through their puppets in UN.
I have read enough about corruption in the west. Look at how the contract in Iraq are given to certain companies in US with no bids. They go well beyond scratching each other back. Any way, that is not the focus here. The focus here is that we need to get rid of LTTE terrorists and separatists without any delay.
( Even the LTTE problem will take a few decades to vanish altogether with political solutions etc etc.)
ReplyDeleteRegrettably, there are no credible Politicians who will make this happen.
Sadly, SL will remain in a quagmire of uncertainty until some one is going to come along to make some hard, uncompromising, unpopular decisions. (MR has gone some way but not all the way)
"Solheim to make his appearance again?"
ReplyDeleteI don't think that we welcome Viking meddlers any more. Of course, he can come here as a touarist not as political meddler.
Say no to Solheim or ask Solheim to take a rest in Norway.
Totally Corruptible Great Britain
ReplyDeleteJay, I also live in the UK. For sheer brazen corruption, the current Labour government takes some beating. Where to start?
– Mandelson's dodgy loans & Hinduja brothers' passport applications,
– Mandelson's Brazilian boyfriend getting his UK visa without any delays,
– The Culture Minister's husband found guilty of taking bribes from Italy's Berlusconi (she claims she knew nothing),
– MPs of all parties fleecing the UK taxpayer by double claiming on expenses,
– The current Home Secretary's husband claiming his porn channels subscriptions as 'expenses',
– The current Home Secretary claiming expenses for living at her sister's London house (when she didn't),
– The most honest & effective Commissioner for maintaining parliamentary standards being sacked for being too honest,
– Massive vote rigging by Asian Labour party councillors to win local and national elections,
– Labour party donors being made into 'Lords'...
There's more here:
http://www.labour-watch.com/sleaze.htm
This bunch of crooks will give our bunch of crooks a good run for their money.
But, the worst and I mean the worst hypocrisy of all is being lectured on 'human rights' by a UK Government and Establishment that took part in one illegal war (60,000+ civilian deaths and an entire society destroyed) and enforced sanctions which directly lead to the deaths of countless Iraqi children, after the first Gulf War. Of course, when the Brits fought the IRA, they were quite capable of ruthless action. Remember the SAS annihilating/excuting an IRA bomb squad in Gibraltar?
How's the weather on your planet? :)
An even more disgraceful action of course was allowing the LTTE to fundraise and maintain its' Int'l HQ in East London. Remember Eelam House?
At a govt to govt level, GOSL needs the UK's help in certain areas. But gone are the days when the UK can go around demanding & berating GOSL when its' own record is hopelessly compromised.
The most important thing, the precursor that makes everything else possible, is the destruction of the LTTE's fighting forces. For that MR & Co deserve every assistance. If they screw things up after the LTTE's defeat.... I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
Watching the Elongated Flight Path of a Boomerang
ReplyDeleteThe semi-literate beast of Wanni who has been boastful of not being a politician, at last, is seeing the flight path of his own boomerang that span well over thirty years.
When senior figures bite dust - one after the other - in quick succession, the beast who was ridiculously elevated to stardom at first and then divinity in that order by a certain section of the Tamil community for their own vested interests, must now see in his mind's eye an episode of the full horror he heaped upon innocent men, women and children in all communites in the name of liberation of one community.
He is a coward. His obsession with own security is well-documented and the confinement of civilians at gun-point reinforces that widely-held view.
I was told by a Tamil friend who had some contacts with a few guys of the movement at the very beginning about this fact - the days they were no more than a bunch of bank robbers.
According to him, the beast instigated ambitious acts and then shivered like a patient suffering from a bout of Malaria, when the forces were on his trail. Karuna confirmed this behaviour when the beast thought he was about to be captured during Jayasikurui.
The way he held the two pilots tightly tells the same story. It is a hug of a coward who is petrified about an imminent danger.
The boomerang is following him with absolute certainty like night follows day, with the only exception of unusually long flight path.
The tales of miraculous survival when the army was about to capture him are his own creations.
What more can we expect of a diminutive who grew up among smugglers in Velvetithurai?
The latest move by the coward is to turn to the Pope for salvation. I don't know whether the stupid idiot knows that the Pope himself was a victim of the despicable doctrine of child-soldiering, in Hitler's youth league. The Holy Father knows the dark side of what he had been and would not allow the abuse of the concept of offering the other chin on behalf of a self-confessed beast.
Shattered are not only his dreamland and its boundaries, but also his hyped-up survival episodes and the questionable streak of divine aspect.
He has been designed by his own 'god' - most probably a demon - to suffer like this.
The winds that come from Nanthikadal lagoon and Mullathivu seas are strong enough to sandwich him and slowly crush him for the inevitable.
May the process of rotting start here and complete in hell!
Qrious
ReplyDeleteVelu has a dilemma
He's watching the elongated path of the boomarang, while his murukku empire is shrivelling like his own diabetic dick that has nt elongated for a long time..

ReplyDeleteThe UAVs are definitely a sound investment since they open a new path to technological advancement and increase our surveillance abilities.
These assets are a must for a maritime nation like ourselves, located in the most contested sea lanes of the future.
Charlie boy is to be sent 'abroad for treatment' while others are expected to die to cover his monkey ass.
ReplyDeleteDeath certainly is a mercy for the wanni munkeys who cannot understand even now who's screwing their asses.
BTW, the controversial Sri lankan born post master who refused to serve customers who didn't speak 'the language' is being accpeted and paraded around by the conservative right, as a potential future politician.
ReplyDelete--------------------------------
Sri lanka press should stop catering to the LTTE canard that Charlie is injured. Instead our guys should let the truth be known; that the LTTE leader is lying to get his own son out of danger while getting others killed.

NoLTTE=Bliss to “Jay” the Tamil racist motherfukcer:
ReplyDelete[Jay, Will say the Defence Procurement of Sri Lanka is Rs. 40 Billion for a 10 year period from when the MR government was instated. 10% of it would be Rs. 4B = about US$37M. Even if we pay this amount as a fee to "Rajapaksa Company" for "eliminating LTTE terrorism" from Sri Lanka, it is well over worth it. If I had money, and if I can pay $500 million to eliminate LTTE, I will happily make that investment. It is a great investment and a BARGAIN!!! In fact the return that Sri Lanka would gain from LTTE cancer would be much much more than $500M. So, $37M is peanuts compared to the return!!]
Outstanding…a bull’s eye hit!
My hat’s off to you brother!

ReplyDelete[Patriots, Have we sent all the trapped tigers to Eelam? Anybody knows what exactly is going on in the encircled zone?]
I know!
About 45 motherfuckers were liquidated yesterday and it is believed around another 70 are still surviving in the trapped coconut plantation area….our hero Brig. Shavindra De Silva has given the whore-dogs an ultimatum to surrender – messages in Tamil were conveyed by loudspeaker – and if not, that then they will be minced-meat…
Close-quarter mortars/artys have proven very effective I am told in this situation…coconut plantations give good cover from a lateral and NOT from a vertical standpoint (and that’s how the whore-dogs perished in that large number yesterday I am told when the heavy mortars/artys ("steel rain") came in a downpour!!!)…
How marvelous!!!

Okay it is Friday evening in my neck of the woods and it is time to go enjoy delight with liberty uh ;-))
ReplyDeletePatriots do castrate LTTE/Tamil racists whores with "extreme prejudice" until I revisit okay....

Sri lankan military media's cross examination style interviewing of escapees from the LTTE does no good. These amatuerish attempts to use real life situations in instant propaganda stunts destroys credibility of the witnesses.
ReplyDeleteThe military should allow seasoned and veteran civillian media to interview these folks in a more friendly style.
A certain US senator is really pissed about being lied to by a certain Mr.Fein, about his tamil tiger connection.
ReplyDeleteThe senator is very upset that his name was sullied by this cheap gunslinger, by dragging him into the monkey circus.
Asithri comments above
ReplyDeleteWow! WOW!
Was that all for my benefit?
Think he needs to try much harder on his balanced scorecard. As usual in a "raised sarong'mode.
Anyway, i have no wish to engage with an imbecile nor dignify his remarks with any further comment.
I'm sure bloggers can draw their own conclusions.
Nisal,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links. That is a great video and we need this kind of videos published as much as we can.
But it's very unfortunate that most of the people just watch all vids and post no comments nor give ratings. It takes just minutes to login (auto remember on the PC and only need to do once and also can use google account for u tube). See how many views and how many comments and ratings. People who upload do great job using their time. But how many of us take minute to appreciate it by commenting and rating.
hmmm....
Asithri and Jay,
ReplyDeleteAsithri, I have lot of respect for your unwavering love for the motherland, and no mercy attitude towards LTTE (they deserve more for their inhuman acts).
However, my request is to refrain from castigating anyone until proven guilty.
I have met many Tamils who have been confused by LTTE propaganda, struggling to find their stance. Many do not like LTTE's ruthless acts, but still can not see any alternative solution to the bogus fears/issues that LTTE have planted in their minds. They struggle. They perhaps do not deserve harsh treatment, as they most often than not need help.
I saw Navindran as someone like that. He came here with some confused mind on where his foot should be (whether in LTTE camp or other). His self-indulgence led him to more confusion and ultimately led him near insanity. His condition is now evident from all his none-stop mindless postings about economy. Poor guy, another victim of the war.
I see Jay as a more advanced personality, who is intelligent and has some sense on world matters. So, to me Jay is not 'guilty' to be castigated indiscriminately. I can not speak for Jay, but his actions in this blog will decide.
BTW, Jay thanks for replying to my posting. I hope that you would intelligently contribute to these blogs and bring us a different perspective on matters that we may not have been exposed to (and expect whatever you type to be challenged too).
All the best to both of you! Keep contributing, world (our fellow bloggers and what is happening out there relating to the conflict) would decide!
Tropical Storm,
ReplyDeleteI agree with your interviewing. This interviewing is amateurish and highly unprofessional.
Straight in to the Sri Lanka's unmarked graves reserved for faceless terrorists.
ReplyDeleteA moment of truth for patriotic Sri Lankans and another coffin nail for LTTE racist terrorists. I sincerely hope that we will all move forward without petty racial difference in Sri Lanka. Making Sri Lanka a country better than Taiwan or Korea shall be our dream. We can make our dream come true with a strong Sri Lankan identity and taking a page out of courage and sheer determination of our forces.
ReplyDeleteGods Bless Vinayagamurthy Muralitharan!!
Gods Bless Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan and TMVP!!
We want you all united with us leaving petty difference aside!!
We all are Sri Lankans with equal rights and responsibilities!!
Nothing less Nothing More!!
We are delighted to see Karuna raising the Srilankan flag and his request people to speak each other's language is a non starter as it's the other's who should try to speak Sinhalese but not the duty of the Sinhalese to speak each and every minority language in the country.

ReplyDeleteRe. “Jay” to OaOA
[However, my request is to refrain from castigating anyone until proven guilty]
Mate, there is really nothing such as “until proven guilty” here.
All what I have seen from this undercover Tamil Nationalist (aka Tamil racist) in this blog is his writing about corruption of the present MR GOSL – as if he himself has done research and come up with proof.
His pet peeve is how much money “Rajapakse Brothers” have made and it was to one such post that you yourself responded earlier, basically saying if such corruption charges are true, then so be it as it is indeed a paltry sum we Sri Lankans have expended in eradicating our beloved Motherlanka of LTTE terrorism.
If you re-read my post you will see that I am not accusing him of being a LTTE agent, but rather a Tamil racist who is out to discredit this GOSL that has done what no other GOSL hitherto has been able to accomplish – in military, politico, and diplomatic spheres to eradicate the LTTE.
What we need to keep in mind is there are lots of rich Colombo Tamils who always supported the UNP regime and even now there are many such well-established Tamils in the Diaspora who openly say that the war may be over for now, but as soon as the next UNP GOSL comes (they fervently hope under RW), they will agitate and get what they want nevertheless. They say yes, it many not be called “thamileelam” but the end result will be the same and the beauty of it is, they hope to get it without firing a single bullet. This is not my imagination, but first hand account of what I have heard in my wide travels.
What they have started doing from now on is to spread malicious lies about this MR GOSL so that they can sow the seeds of hatred against this regime (hinged on baseless corruption allegations) and thereby help usher in a RW-Ponna UNP regime with as minimum delay as possible to achieve their goal.
Additionally, what do you think the morale of the fighting forces will be if such malicious lies are allowed to widely permeate in Sri Lanka? Don’t you see the results of such having a direct and disastrous impact on maintaining the success of this military campaign? This is not to say that there is no corruption in this GOSL (which GOSL did not have corruption for that matter), but to say that such exists to a colossal extent (as stated by this Cocksucker), without producing evidence, is highly suspect vis-à-vis the motive is concerned. No, I am no stranger to these double-dealing, highly conniving, insidious characters as I (meaning my family) did once mingle with them growing up in Colombo. Their ghetto mentality was there at that time and sadly, many still have it to the point of being rabid about it.
Mate, I too have the highest respect for your undying passion re. our Motherland and I have seen that manifestation over the years that I have known you in this blog and elsewhere. However, please try to see why I react to these “fifth column” Cocksuckers the way I do…I am not asking you to agree with me, but only to entertain the possibility of what I am saying.
In my view, the time is long past now that we would fall victim to these insidious characters’ ploys…now is the time to be merciless and be resolute in our saying “Never Again”…!!!
Cheers,
OaO Asithri
p.s. There is another “Jay” here who is truly a patriot to the core.
There is a an 'article' on Tamilnet about a Sinhala mob attacking a peaceful 'Eezam' Tamil rally.
ReplyDeleteNothing could be further from the truth. There was a peaceful Sri Lankan rally protesting against LTTE holding human shields. Some provocative LTTE thugs came around with a tiger flag and some banners. This was the start of the whole problem. The tiger-supporters were arrested because they were specifically instructed to stay away from this area.
Also the Tamilnet article shows a windscreen smashed in. This video shows the windscreen intact. I hope the thugs get caught for insurance fraud as well.
